i found i cant log into my website from outside my LAN . Pinging the domain from outside the LAN says 192.168.10.100. Whilst i sort this out i need to change the IP address back to the true external one. Its been a while since Ive logged in and youve changed it - where can i update it manually from my account page ?

We haven't changed it, and neither will DynDNS. You have some device, probably your router, that's updating your hostname with that address. Do you have an ADSL modem, or does your building provide you with a centrally managed Internet service?
