Hi im struggling in setting up the remote access so i can view the cameras wirelessly or wired on the internet. I am running windows vista on my laptop and i followed the steps for the netwok setup on my DVR H.264 V0.1B_A. 4/8-CH Embedded video recorder.

This is shown on my dvr when i connect the ethernet cable from the router to the dvr.

At This point my laptop is hardwired on the router. I dont know if wirelesslly makes a difference.

I have set up a domain name on a website and it automatically gives me the ip address. Its set to my local current location's IP address. 86.174 etc etc.

When i open IE i type in my IP address for the DVR 192.168.001.223 then a page appears but nothing is there. It says web app manager on the bar but i get a tiny icon on the top left hand corner and its blank. I followed the instructions on how to enable the active X controls but no luck.

I am a nooby here but what am i doing wrong.

I hope i have given you a good idea of whats going on becasue i have been trying for 4 days and i cant seem to find a solution.
