I have set up my ddns correctly and when I enter the address into a browser it takes me to my routers login page. I want to be able to access my NAS hard drive instead. I have set up a port forwarding of 21 but this doesn't seem to go anything when I type in _url__">ftp://_url__ I have a Western Digital My Book World Edition II WD20000D033-001 which is formatted to a linux based system & the D-Link DIR 615. Any help would be much appreciated ! http://www.wdc.com/en/library/usb/2779-701026.pdf?wdc_lang=en - manual for NAS

Just set mine up, seemed easy enough. Open a port in your router to your NAS - check NAS documentation, then after forwarding the request through the router to the NAS IP address it should all just work. E.g. http://yourhostname.dyndns.org:6666 and you should see your NAS homepage. Note that the port number of '6666' is just an example, it has to match the port number of your own NAS as does the 'yourhostname'. Good luck.

I'd recommend you work through this guide. For the first problem it sounds like your router doesn't support forwarding it's administration port - the options are covered in the guide. For the second FTP is always tricky through NAT. You'll need to forward both ports 20 and 21.
