Has anyone had success getting through their 2Wire router with DynDNS? I've got a DVR/Camera system that works with DynDNS and a DSL modem/linksys router just fine. But they lock up once per week. The 2Wire 2701 HG-B allows me to access my DVR outside the firewall only if I use my temporary IP address (I'm dynamic). But not with DynDNS for my hostname.domainName:forwardedPort

If you can access it with your public dynamic IP address and cannot access it with your DynDNS hostname, then it is clear that the IP address information for your hostname is not updated. Check your update client, whatever it is, and check the status of the hostname.

RotBlitz, I followed your instructions, but still it doesn't work. I am having the same issue as Greg 2.
Here is the manual for my router. Both of my 2 Mobotix cameras and also QNAP TS-210 NAS have dynamic dns set-up, yet my DynDNS account stopped updating once the dynamic IP address changed. Could anyone advise?
