[Closed] How can I remove Internet Guide from Mac platform

Unable to apply the procedure applied on PC based platforms since there is no option to uncheck the Internet Guide option. Removed via browser but is still blocking some sites. Please advise.

Thanks

There's an option in preferences to disable the Internet Guide support in the OS X client. Take a look at the screenshots under "Didn't mean to enable Internet Guide?" at the link below.

Take care,

Not working for me. How the heck do I know what my "recursive resolver IPs are". Sorry I just don't memorize those! HELP!

Do tick Dan's solution then - that's how people know it was the right one (for you) ;)

Take a look here at DynDNS's guide to manually configuring the DNS servers:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click Network.
  3. Choose your current network adapter, and click Advanced.
  4. On the DNS tab, enter the two Internet Guide addresses 216.146.35.35 and 216.146.36.36.

To disable: Follow the above instructions. On step four, remove the Internet Guide addresses (or replace them with your recursive resolver IPs).

Don't forget, if this answer is useful apply the tick so we know.
