DynDNS's Secondary DNS How-to explains the setup of a third-party DNS server as master and DynDNS as slave using a BIND allow-transfer record. How can a DynDNS Custom DNS user set their allow-transfer record so that a third-party can act as a backup?

You'd have to ask DynDNS why they don't offer that type of service, all we can tell you is that they don't.

According to this tweet, the DynECT platform supports this: https://twitter.com/#!/DynSupport/status/152079438656446465 Unfortunately that's a different platform to the one used by Custom DNS/Standard DNS or Secondary DNS - so not directly useful to those whose questions you're answering or commenting on.
