Hello folks, I will appreciate if soneone can share a best practice approach to solve the following problem: We are hosting our site on multiple instances on Amazon EC2 infrastructure and we need to point our domain name to Amazon load balancer which doesn't have static IP but has CNAME. While it's no problem to create CNAME record for www.domain.com, the problem is to redirect domain.com to Amazon load balancer or www.domain.com without 302 redirect if possible. Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, DynDNS services do not provide any other redirection method than WebHop, which is a 302 redirect. Your other option would be to create an A record for domain.com, pointing to another web server somewhere (preferably a reliable and redundant server if uptime is critical). This web server would then be configured to respond with 301 redirection responses.
