If it works from your neighbour's network and it works from your iPhone over 3G then things are basically working. Your Dynamic DNS hostname is resolving to your router's WAN IP and the ports must all be forwarded since otherwise you wouldn't have any video from any location. Any problems you're having relate to the way the DVR works - it may well require an ActiveX plugin or some security settings changed in the browser due to the changes in Windows 8. I'd advise you to try a DVR specific forum, remembering to tell them the make and model of your DVR.

I have been trying to sign in on every PC I have (Desktop & 3 laptops) and getting all the same results, the Net Failure Screen, except the Laptop with Windows XP. (All other's have Windows 8 ) I could sign in on XP, as long as I was connected to my own wifi. When connected to my neighbors wifi, I couldnt get the page up at all. So I was just playing with some router & DVR settings and deleted and created a new DDNS a few times, Then I Seen an ARSP Setting on the DVR Net Server Screen. Inside there was a Server Ip www.edvrddns.com and below had UserName, I put in my user name for the DDNS I created and pressed enter and rebooted the DVR. I signed into my neighbors wifi and I connected and got video. Then I disabled my iPhone's wifi and got video with 3G. I just checked the other laptop that has Windows 8 on it and I signed in first shot. It seems they all work now except my Desktop PC. I am trying to get a friend from away to go online to try and sign in to see if it works from out of province. EDIT: I was just on the phone with a friend from out of Province, and he went into the site, installed plugins he was told to and he logged in. He had all the options available, only he had no video. the 4 square screens where blank. I tried a few basics with him but never got anywhere. He should not have to port forward or anything like that right? Any ideas? Please Help!

Yes, I think your right, for my friend to sign in but just not get video I figure it maybe a simple plugin or something he needs installed. I have it working on all other Windows 8 except my desktop now. I changed all the Active X Controls and still nothing. Is there a popular DVR forum you would recommend? I'm looking at www.cctvforum.com/ now. If there is a better one out there please let me know! Thanks
