Dear all, Starting yesterday, Dec. 26th, it seems that DDNS is not working properly anymore. Yesterday and today I suddenly did not have a connection to my home anymore. Before that all worked fine for months or days if I start counting from the last new device put into my network. (no cahnge on DDNS issues!) So everything was fine. But now I had two failures in 2 days. I have a free account, I do not need more services, I just want a working DDNS. I had to enter the account on DDNS and to refresh the IP manually and then everything was fine again. (I clicked on mydomain.dyndns.org in the settings and then I refreshed!) Yesterday I tried to restart and retell DDNS the new IP by my router but without success, only accessing the account on DDNS and renewing there was successfull. Why? DDNS was working fine for months and now it fails? Thanks in advance. best regards, Paiper

It sounds like an issue with your update client - what are you using and what does its logs say?

Those indicate a problem between you and your ISP - it could be your modem, your line, an issue at the exchange or your ISP.

I am having the same problem. I am using a TPLINK1043ND and free account. Has Dnydns changed their free account policy? I ask because I tried setting up a new free account today and it doesn't allow me to add a new host.

I am not so sure it is a router issue though I had half a mind to re-flash the firmware this evening. For the moment I have started using no-ip.com and it has managed to update the ddns through two (test) reboots. So I still believe it is dyndns issue rather than a router one. More so because I am unable to add a new host to the second free account I added today. It seems dyn allows only pro accounts to do so.

For me that could mean that there was something with the ISP. Said that it could be that the issue is solved now, or? It did not happen 29th and 30th of December. Perhaps the best is to wait and see, esp. as this issue can be solved from outside the home network. So I will not change to another DDNS service for now. thx. best regards, Paiper
