I have a Samsung Surveillance system at my parents home with 4 cameras Smsung SHR-1041 4 channel DVR).. They are infirmed and I need to monitor their home from my home 30 miles away. How can I configure "things" to make this happen?
The system is on a home network there and I have a home network here. The user manuals are too complicated for me.

Be aware that generally speaking people seem to have major difficulties getting remote access to any ActiveX based DVR system working. You may want to consider looking at some of the DVR specific forums for expert advice and guidance on your particular model if that turns out to be the case.

Hi Cry Havok,
I read your walkthrough and couldn't make use of it. I have a Samsung Techwin 3000N DVR and a Linksys E2000 router. I have signed for the DYNDNS service hoping to get my cameras online so I can watch them from wherever I am. Will it work using DYNDNS? Please let me knwo and if the answer reffers to the problem being samsung and/or linksys and is unsolvable from DYNDNS point of view let me know, so I can remove my suscrpitionThanks
