Ok found what my proplem was. My host name has to be in capitals. Don't ask me why i checked all my setting and everything is in lower case. I don't know why i tried with capital letters lol. Good luck to all. onvisa

Are you remembering to test from outside your network? Tests from inside your network often produce different results from outside.

The first thing to check is the status of your hostname at the hosts page. You can update your IP address information manually there if needed. The second step is to check the log of your update client (software or hardware) to look for related error messages and take corrective action accordingly. Same here. The control panel registers my ip address correctly, but the hostname refuses to work. I too can connect via ip. If you mean https://www.dyndns.com/account/services/hosts/ by "control panel", then you may have a caching problem, i.e. the DNS information in one of the local resolver cache or in remote caches (e.g. ISP or other recursive DNS service) is held too long.
