Remotely Managing Router

Hey all, I've got a Linksys 160N router running DD-WRT, I know that has remote management functionality. I can get as far as inputing my information in the router and enabling remote management, but I don't know if I have the correct settings on the profile here or if I'm entering something wrong in the address bar.

DDNS Setup

Port forwarding

I think the url should be http://squid.dydns.ws:61629/ I get page cannot be displayed. Any ideas?

You didn't set up your hostname sqid.dyndns.ws yet. So do it now and check with

nslookup squid.dyndns.ws. (Windows)
dig +noall +answer +comments squid.dyndns.ws (other OSes)

if your hostname can be really resolved. By now it returns NXDOMAIN.

Regarding your router setup, change Force Update Interval from 10 to 28, else there is a risk of getting your DynDNS hostname blocked due to abusive updates.

"I think the url should be http://squid.dydns.ws:61629/"
Yes, confirmed, according to your setup, and if the protocol used is HTTP (could be HTTPS?).

I get this in command prompt with nslookup: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1065652/nslookup.png [with my name blocked out after "Users" via paint]

I believe I did set up my host name? It is in my list of HostNames under Host Services. When I set it up, I set it to use "Host With IP Address" when selecting service type. It then used my main PC's IP.

So your current IP address is 65.11.168.58? Strange, I am not able to resolve your hostname. I have tried three DNS services, the DynDNS Internet Guide and my ISP's and OpenDNS. They all return NXDOMAIN. What is your "main PC's IP"? Your DynDNS hostname must be set to your public dynamic IP address, e.g. 65.11.168.58.

According to whatismyip.com, my main PC's IP is 65.11.176.9, and the setup for the Host Service says the same. So what you're saying is, to access my router it should be "http://65.11.176.9.dydns.ws:61629/" ??

squid.dyndns.ws exists and resolves to your IP. You should use http://squid.dyndns.ws:61629/ to access it (assuming you're using plain HTTP).

I can't access it :-/ Yes I'm using HTTP to access. The settings under the "DDNS" tab are the only settings I need to change right? I can use nslookup and get a response, I can use ping and get a response, but no web-browser can connect to it. I think I have the router setup correctly, but what settings should I have here under Host Services? [just to make sure as I've seen tutorial after tutorial for setting up DDNS on a router, but not on the hosting site.]
