Hey, My router (7401VGPR3) has all of a sudden stopped updating my dyndns account (has been working fine for nearly a year)
The latest message from the logs is..
The logs are full of these messages over and over.. for at least the last couple of days (last time net disconnected). It try 5 times and then seems to wait 6 hours. I've got the expiry set to 28 days.
I manually updated through their webpage and it worked. Maybe the urls have changed and this firmware is not reflecting it, I'm not sure. I asked Billion and they said it's a dyndns issue. Problem is.. this is a free account and I get nil support.
Anyone else had a similar issue, or any ideas on the cause? I've rebooted the the router a few times and enabled/disable dyndns to 'refresh' it. No luck :(
I would start by checking the obvious things:
Because your Billion router can't reach the DynDNS services, that doesn't surprise me. Try a different DNS service and see if that helps.
